Flea & Tick Master! Oils for Your Pet
Essential oils are great for keeping pests like fleas and ticks out of your home,
but your pet may not always stay indoors, and they will be bothered by ticks
and fleas even more than you will. There are several methods of using
oils listed below that will help keep your pet pest-free.

Most of these tips can work with a number of different oils,
but here are some of the most effective:

Lavender oil
Geranium oil
Peppermint oil
Rosemary oil
Eucalyptus oil
Lemongrass oil

Flea Bath
Add several drops of your oil of choice to your pet’s bath before bathing. Lavender oil and Lemongrass oil are particularly useful in this setting.
If you use Lavender, you should also be able to notice
that it will promote a healthy coat of fur in your pet as well.
Be cautious to avoid sensitive areas, like your pet’s eyes,
nose and mouth while bathing.

Coat Spray
Fill a 4 oz spray bottle with distilled water.
Add 20 drops of a essential oil chosen from the list above
(or mix a couple if the go well together).
For the added benefit of reducing your pet’s natural odors,
add some Bergamot as well.
Shake well before each use.
Spray your pet’s coat liberally, avoiding sensitive areas like the eyes and nose.
Apply every two weeks, or more as needed.
For extra protection, spray your pets bedding down as well.
Homemade Flea Collar

Another suggestion: Mist on animal - In a 16oz spray bottle, put
4-6 drops of Rosemary and 4-6 drops of Purify; fill the remainder of the
bottle with distilled water. Light spray your pet, avoiding the eyes.
Reapply as needed.

and 30 drops of essential oil
from the list below.
